I come from China and have been living in Canada since 2010. As a language enthusiast with a degree in Japanese, I'm passionate about exploring the world of different cultures. I enjoy traveling and have visited many countries. When I am not immersed in language learning, you can find me indulging in my favorite hobbies: getting lost in a good book, drawing or watching a movie. I believe in creating a personalized and engaging learning environment for each student. My teaching methods include:
Communicative approach: focusing on developing practical communication skills through conversations, role-plays, and real-life scenarios.
Task-based learning: encouraging students to complete tasks that promote language use and problem-solving.
Feedback and correction: offering constructive feedback and correction to help students improve their language skills.
My lesson is for adults from beginner to advance level.
Here is an outline of what a typical lesson might look like:
Lesson topic: introduction and basic conversation
level: beginner
warm up (5 minutes): icebreaker activity to get to know the students and discuss their interests
vocabulary (10 minutes): introduce key vocabulary related to lesson topic (for example: greetings, self-introduction, basic question)
grammar (10 minutes): explain the grammar rules
practice (20 minutes): engage in conversational practice using the new vocabulary and grammar, incorporating role-play and scenarios.
Wrap-up (5 minutes): review the lesson, provide feedback and set goals for the next lesson.
