I am warm and friendly and want to help your child become a stronger, more confident reader. I have a lot of patience and am very calm and kind. I work well with students one on one and I believe my strategies can help students become strong readers and make the growth they need to be successful in the classroom.

I use a variety of phonics strategies to help students who are struggling with reading.
Students will practice letters/sounds that they have not mastered by saying them, reading them, and writing them. We will practice reading nonsense words, and students will learn chants and songs to help them remember the sounds in words.
We will play games to practice sounds and blending and segmenting words. Students will read books to help them practice the skills we have learned.
My lessons are for K-2 students who are struggling readers.
