About Sloane
I am a recent Harvard graduate with over four years of college prep tutoring experience. My degree is in engineering, with a minor in women's studies, so I have broad expertise across both STEM and language arts. I can help students with all aspects of the college application process, from standardized test prep, to essay and resume writing, to interview practice. I have helped many students improve their test scores and get into their desired colleges.

I tailor my teaching to each individual student's needs. For standardized test prep, I start with a diagnostic test and use this to focus subsequent lessons and practice problems on areas that need the most improvement. I think practice makes perfect, and I tend to assign problems for students to work on in between lessons, so that we can focus our time together on giving conceptual lessons and working out points of confusion. For essay writing, I can walk students through the entire writing process, from brainstorming and outlining to finer editing. I can also help with resume writing and interview skills.
