About Yuni
My name is Yuni. I teach Mandarin Chinese to both heritage learners and non-native speakers. I can help you learn basic Mandarin, as well as explore Chinese history, geography, and culture. I also speak Japanese, which can help Japanese-speaking students connect with the lessons more easily. My goal is to make learning Chinese fun, engaging, and tailored to your level.

I have worked as a substitute teacher at a Wellington Chinese language School, teaching both heritage Chinese students and non-native Chinese learners. I am able to teach basic Mandarin, as well as Chinese history, geography, and culture.
I have worked as a substitute teacher at a Wellington Chinese School, teaching both heritage Chinese students and non-native Chinese learners. I am able to teach basic Mandarin, as well as Chinese history, geography, and culture, and I can also draw on my Japanese language skills to support learners when teaching Chinese, adapting my approach to students with different language backgrounds and proficiency levels. And I also speak Japanese, which helps me connect Chinese learning with Japanese when appropriate.
