About SeyedMohammad

Hello, I am SEYEDMOHAMMAD, a current Chemistry PhD student with years of hands-on experience in both academic research and one-to-one teaching. My legitimacy rests on verifiable credentials: I have successfully completed advanced coursework in physical, organic, and analytical chemistry, and I actively practice chemistry at a research level every day. This means I do not simply recite textbooks – I understand the science from the inside out.

To reassure you of my professionalism, I follow a clear code:

Punctuality and preparation – Every lesson starts on time, with a prepared agenda and all necessary digital materials (whiteboard, problems, simulations).
Transparent progress tracking – After each session, I summarize what we covered and what you need to practice. You will never wonder where you stand.
Safe, respectful learning environment – No question is too basic. Mistakes are analyzed, not judged. My goal is your mastery, not your admiration.
Commitment to your goals – Whether you are aiming for an A on an AP Chemistry exam, improving your IB internal assessment, or simply finally understanding mole calculations, I tailor every lesson to your specific syllabus and timeline.
I also believe in showing, not just telling. You are welcome to ask for proof of my PhD enrollment (university ID, transcript) – I provide it openly. Moreover, my first (free) lesson is designed as a real working session, not a sales pitch. In those 30-60 minutes, you will experience my teaching method directly and decide if we are a good fit.

Your success in chemistry is my reputation. I do not take that lightly. Let us work together, step by step, until chemistry becomes not a hurdle, but a skill you are proud of.

I am SEYEDMOHAMMAD, a Chemistry PhD student with a deep passion for making complex chemical concepts accessible and engaging. My teaching method is built on three pillars: conceptual clarity, active problem-solving, and personalized pacing.

Conceptual clarity first: I never ask a student to memorize a formula without understanding its origin. I use analogies, molecular models, and real-world examples (from cooking to industrial processes) to build intuition.
Active problem-solving: After explaining a concept, we immediately apply it to typical high-school problems. I guide the student through the first steps, then gradually release responsibility so they gain confidence.
Personalized pacing: Every student is different. I adapt my explanations – visual, verbal, or step-by-step algebraic – to match their learning style. For struggling students, I break topics into micro-steps. For advanced students, I introduce challenge problems and cross-topic connections.
A typical lesson plan (60 minutes)

Warm-up & diagnostics (5-10 min): Quick recap of the previous session and a 2-minute “starter problem” to gauge retention.
Core concept introduction (15 min): I present the new topic (e.g., stoichiometry, equilibrium, organic mechanisms) using slides, a shared whiteboard, or simple drawings. I always connect it to what they already know.
Guided practice (20 min): We work through 2-3 example problems together. I ask leading questions to develop their reasoning, not just the answer.
Independent practice & feedback (10 min): The student solves one problem on their own while I observe and provide real-time correction.
Wrap-up & homework assignment (5 min): Summary of key takeaways and a short, focused set of problems (or a concept video) to reinforce before next class.
What sets me apart as a tutor

PhD-level depth, high-school clarity: I don’t just know chemistry – I actively research it. This means I can explain why a rule works, which builds lasting understanding rather than rote memory.
Proven system for exam preparation: I have helped students tackle IB, A-level, AP, and national high-school final exams. I teach exam strategies (time management, common traps, how to show working) alongside the science.
Patience and encouragement: Chemistry can be intimidating. I create a safe, no-silly-questions environment where mistakes are treated as learning steps.
Flexible online tools: I use a professional digital whiteboard, screen sharing, and interactive simulations (PhET, etc.) to make remote lessons as effective as in-person.
Who the lessons are for (degree, level, class, specificities, etc.)

My lessons are designed for international high-school students (ages 14-18) who are:

Preparing for university entrance exams (SAT Chemistry, AP Chemistry, IB HL/SL Chemistry, A-level Chemistry, or equivalent national exams).
Enrolled in regular or honors chemistry classes and need extra support to raise their grades.
Homeschooled or self-studying and want a structured, live tutor.
Curious learners who want to go beyond the textbook – for example, exploring organic reaction mechanisms or thermodynamics in more depth.
I do not teach beginner chemistry to middle-school students (under 14) or university-level physical chemistry (though I can help with general/organic chemistry at first-year university level upon request).

My promise: After every session, you will leave with a clear roadmap of what you have mastered and exactly what to practice next. Let’s turn chemistry from a challenge into your strength.
