About Julia
I grew up in Miami and then took a gap year in Israel before pursuing my bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida. I grew up with my mother as a teacher, and is something I have adopted from her from an early age. When I was a teenager I worked as a swim instructor, I then moved on to tutoring once I was in college, and now I also am a yoga instructor.
I enjoy being outside, reading, and writing in my free time.

I know that the standard way of teaching is not best suited for everyone's specific learning needs; that's why I like to take the time to learn how my students best retain information. Whether you are a visual or an auditory learner, I will design creative lesson plans for you that cater to your learning needs. I like to encourage my students through positive reinforcement and help them build their confidence in topics they find challenging. I believe everyone has the capacity to learn - we just have to know how to teach the student correctly to their needs.
I have been tutoring for the last 3 years encompassing English, Math & Early Childhood Development lessons. My students have ranged in ages from 4-15 and I have taught both native and non-native English speakers. I have worked as a swim instructor, a yoga instructor, a substitute teacher, and a tutor. Moreover, I recently got my TEFL certification.
I offer sessions to those ranging in ages from 6-21, and sessions can be anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes
