About Binwe
My name is Binwe and I am a nomadic teacher and advertising strategist. I am based in sunny South Africa, but I also spend time in France, Canada and countries in West Africa. As such, while I am English speaking, I have a lot of time practicing French. I began learning French in grade 3 and at the ripe old age of 31, I have continued my learning both in the classroom at university and in real life. As a tutor (across various levels), I have over 8 years' experience, and I don't believe that you should learn the way I teach; but that I should teach the way you learn. We are well past the era of stuffy, boring lessons so activities and interaction will be key. Language is an endless do-over of sounds, words and grammar, so the consistent practice is what matters to me - not always getting it right the first time. I believe in building a culture of progress, and my students know that my door is always open for feedback or to raise any anxieties or points of stress. Tutorship is a team sport.

Learning a language is supposed to be active, engaging and not at all terrifying. French gets a tough wrap but it's doable for all who try to learn it. I strive to help you do your best, and I want you to be excited about our sessions.
We will work together gently to give you the basics, expand your knowledge base and (where appropriate) make sure you are ready to more-than pass your assignments. We will engage with openness and work with where you are, so that you can begin to own and enjoy your experience.
We'll be playing with movies, music, TV shoes and online creators who will help you stay immersed. Whether it's Toronto or Toulouse, you'll be well equipped! Let's do this.
