About The Travling

Hey there, I'm Taylor! With seven years of industry experience under my belt, I've worn many hats, starting as a store manager and eventually stepping into the role of Director of Operations for a startup in the luxury hospitality sector. My journey kicked off with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Boise State University, where I fine-tuned my skills in leadership and strategic planning.

Fuelled by an insatiable curiosity, I'm now gearing up for my next big adventure: pursuing a Master's in Wine Management at Burgundy School of Business. I'm absolutely thrilled to dive deeper into the intricate world of wine and expand my expertise in this captivating field.

When I'm not immersed in the world of business and wine, you'll often find me lost in the pages of a good book or expressing my thoughts and insights through blogging. I firmly believe in the power of continuous learning and strive to broaden my horizons, both personally and professionally, every chance I get.

With a diverse background and a passion for growth, I'm eagerly embracing new challenges and looking forward to making a positive impact in academia and beyond.

As a tutor, my approach is centered around fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to explore, ask questions, and take ownership of their learning journey. Here's how I approach each aspect you mentioned:

Teaching Method and Techniques:
Servant Leader Approach: I prioritize the needs and goals of my students above all else. I aim to serve them by providing guidance, support, and resources tailored to their individual learning styles and objectives.

Engagement Strategies: I utilize various engagement techniques, including the use of photos, real-life examples, interactive activities, and multimedia resources to captivate students' interest and facilitate deeper understanding.

Multimodal Instruction: Recognizing that every student learns differently, I incorporate verbal, auditory, and tactile methods into my teaching to accommodate diverse learning preferences and ensure comprehension at multiple levels.

Typical Lesson Plan:
Goal Setting: At the beginning of each session, I discuss with the student their specific learning objectives and what they hope to achieve by the end of our time together.

Needs Assessment: I assess the student's current understanding of the subject matter to identify any gaps in knowledge or areas that require reinforcement.

Action Plan: Based on the student's goals and assessment results, we collaboratively develop an action plan outlining the steps we'll take to achieve those objectives. This plan may include targeted exercises, discussions, and practice sessions.

What Sets Me Apart:
Personalized Approach: I prioritize individualized attention and tailor my teaching strategies to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student.

Holistic Support: I don't just focus on academic content; I also strive to cultivate critical thinking skills, confidence, and a growth mindset in my students to help them succeed beyond the classroom.

Flexibility and Adaptability: I'm adaptable to changing circumstances and am always open to adjusting my approach based on feedback and the evolving needs of my students.

Target Audience:
My lessons are suitable for students at various levels, from high school to postgraduate studies. Whether someone is preparing for standardized tests, tackling challenging coursework, or seeking to deepen their understanding of a specific subject, I provide tailored support to help them achieve their goals. My tutoring services are particularly beneficial for those who value personalized attention and a supportive learning environment.
