About Miranda
I am a current graduate biology student with a certificate in intermediate Spanish (awarded by my university). I have worked through the elementary and intermediate courses at my university, having also traveled to Spain to further practice conversations. I have been a tutor for five years, teaching various subjects along with Spanish. I have helped many students achieve success in their courses, acquiring and retaining applicable knowledge to use beyond the classroom. I am always eager for ways to improve as a communicator which drew me to the tutoring profession. In my free time, I enjoy reading books, traveling, enjoying outdoor recreation, listening to music and audiobooks, and drawing.

My lessons will consist of techniques my instructors utilized to help me succeed in this language. With me, you will receive consistent elementary/intermediate Spanish practice every week (flexible hours) tailored to your needs. Depending on your Spanish level, a typical lesson will consist of us conversing almost entirely in Spanish, where I may ask you to describe various concepts or aspects about your day. I will help you to utilize various phrases with verbs in everyday speaking for quick language recall. Even if you make grammatical or vocabulary mistakes, the main part about conversational Spanish is being able to think in that language. We will focus on any mistakes to help refine your speaking, but the main grasp is being able to convey thoughts. If you need help with reading, I will work with you to pronounce any word and understand its meaning. For reading, I will help you build note tables for unknown words and phrases for periodic repetition and application. My lessons are for anybody who wants to learn general Spanish, including K-12 and college students taking elementary- and intermediate-level Spanish.
