About Mara
Hello! My name is Mara. I am a recent graduate of UMBC as a global studies major. I have volunteered at the Esperanza Center and have volunteered as a conversation helper at school for foreign students. In addition, I have worked for a study abroad exchange company. In short, I have been exposed to other cultures and I'm flexible and understanding through my degree and personal experience. I also have been a foreign student myself when I studied abroad in France, so I completely understand the struggle and nervousness that comes along with learning a new language (or having the desire just to improve pronunciation/vocabulary etc.)

Beginner Students (any age)- $40/hr
Intermediate to advance (any age)- $35/hr
My main focus is conversation, building pronunciation/enunciation, helping with presentations, editing English essay's, vocabulary.
Cancellation must be a complete 24 hours in advance. If not there will be a $10 cancellation fee
Travel fee will be is from $10-$20 depending on distance from Ellicott City MD
We can also meet at a library !
