About Nicole
I am a 27 year old graduate in Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Practice; with a wealth of experience supporting individuals aged 0-47 with special educational needs and mental health difficulties, in a variety of settings. I am a firm believer that everybody has something to contribute in each environment; when the adaptations and approach are person-centred and reasonable adjustments are applied. I believe we can all achieve our goals, when our environment supports us to do so and together, anything is possible. The power of learning is eternal and there’s always more to learn (me included), let’s share some time to upskill each other and share our own experiences to create a community that is safe, supportive and uplifting. Having ADHD and Autism myself, my passion for SEND goes beyond a personal interest. There is so much more for me to learn about myself but together, I truly believe we can create history. We have come so far in the world of understanding, adapting and applying reasonable adjustments for learners with diverse brains; through a range of approaches, resources and strategies. Yet, we still have a long way to go. My aim is to educate and upskill individuals in the area of SEND, in order to promote understanding, reflection and awareness around the role we play in supporting such individuals in accessing a world in which they feel understood, supported, valued, celebrated and stimulated.
