About Fern
I'm Fern, a recent graduate from the University of Brighton. I work in a university too, and am constantly brought face-to-face with how overburdened and underfunded our education is, not just in the UK where I'm based, but worldwide. I love learning, and I love teaching, and seeing people grow up with less attention, less academic achievement, and less educational care given to them than previous generations makes me want to change things. While I would like to change the world, I know that's not feasible, so for now, I'm happy to focus on one student at a time, and trying to make sure everybody knows their value and their potential.

Above all else, I am flexible. I believe the student comes first, and so before I decide how my lessons will be planned, I would like to talk to you first. I am happy to tutor from Eleven and onwards, from Secondary school level to Undergraduate or further adult learning.
My lessons can vary in length, but are typically an hour, with exercises, question and answer sections, and guided reading included.
I have experience with a variety of people from a number of backgrounds. During my studies, I led seminars and study groups of my peers and did one-to-one tutoring of students below my year. Now, I run a humanities reading group with a focus on one-to-one attention. I do this for free in my local area, so I hope you know that I come at tutoring from a love of learning before I think about money.
