About Michelle
Hello, I'm Michelle, your history teacher. I'm super passionate about sharing accurate stories from the past. I believe that knowing history helps us understand today's world and get ready for the future. I have a BA in History and have completed an online teacher training course from the University of Cambridge for IGCSE History. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with my students on a personal level. I understand that each student is unique and brings their own strengths and challenges to the classroom. I am dedicated to supporting each student's individual learning journey while also challenging them to extend themselves and reach their full potential. My empathetic approach and genuine care for my students' well-being create a nurturing environment where students feel valued and inspired. I look forward to meeting you!

With nearly a decade of experience teaching history at Key Stage 3 and 4 in both classroom settings and online, I have developed a profound understanding of how to engage students in physical and virtual environments. I am passionate about making history accessible and exciting for students of all backgrounds, interests, and abilities. My lessons are interactive and engaging, connecting historical events to current issues to help students understand the past and its impact on our present. My approach is personalised, supporting each student's unique learning journey while also challenging them to extend themselves and reach their full potential. In my class, you'll get a fact-based approach that makes you think critically and consider different viewpoints. I aim to create a welcoming and empathetic environment where you can explore various cultures and historical events comfortably. I teach History for Key Stage 3 and 4, with a focus on Germany from 1918 to 1945 and 20th Century History, exploring topics like the Cold War. Through my classes, you'll develop essential skills like: • Critical thinking and analysis • Empathy and understanding of different cultures and historical contexts • Appreciating diverse perspectives and experiences I look forward to meeting you!
