My lessons are tailored to you and what you need. We'll always start by chatting about your goals and what you are looking to get out of a lesson. Depending on what you are needing, lessons can range from 40-80 minutes. If you want some suggestions:
Introduction to Theatre/Screen Acting
I'll give you a script and we'll go over the basics of script analysis as suggested by Stanislavski's methodology. We will then put some of this methodology into practice within the lesson. Depending on your choice to focus more on screen or theatre, we will either focus on a scene or a monologue and adjust for stage or screen as appropriate.
This can be taught for kids, teens or adults with adjustments made!
Introduction to Shakespeare for Teens
We will take a look at a piece of Shakespearean text and find ways to make it not only understandable but also performable. In the first lesson, we will start with a more familiar piece and from there branch off into the wonderful world of Shakespeare, discovering how we can use iambic pentameter, antithesis and more to our advantage. This lesson is perfect for teens ready to dive into Shakespeare or who are preparing for drama school auditions and want extra help with their classical pieces.
Audition Practice
You can either bring a piece you'd like to work on or I can select a piece for you. We will workshop it for fun and then do a mock audition. This is perfect for actors ready for the industry and wanting to keep their skills fit.
Audition Coaching
I will workshop your audition piece with you, be your reader and film you over Zoom.
