About James
I am very passionate about both piano and trombone and have played since I was very young. By the time I was 16 I obtained a sixth form place at Chethams School of Music and studied trombone (first study) and Piano (second study). In 2018 I performed at the opening night of the BBC Proms with the Proms Youth Ensemble along with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. These experiences have inspired me to share my love of music with other people and pass on some of this knowledge I have gained from several of the country’s top teachers

I hold a BMus (Hons), graduating with First Class from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I have experience of teaching both piano and trombone to both children and adults. I am happy teaching a variety of styles of music, including classical, jazz and pop. I have experience of both Trinity and ABRSM examination boards should pupils wish to take an exam. Obviously not everyone wants to take this route, so if you just want to learn for fun, then we can certainly do that!
