About Alyssa
I grew up in New York State and have been playing piano since I was 5 years old. I love teaching and helping students be able to express themselves musically and play music that is interesting to them. I write music and have experience teaching voice and guitar lessons as well.

I am an experienced teacher for students of all ages and learning abilities, and have several years of experience teaching at a private music school on Long Island. I have experience preparing students for NYSSMA and had a piano student selected to perform at Carnegie Hall. I am a student-centered teacher and believe that along with basic technique and helpful exercises, lessons should be modeled around teaching the student what they are interested in learning and am open to teaching a variety of genres and songs.
