About Angeline
Cellist Angeline Kiang is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at the Juilliard School under the tutelage of Clara Minhye Kim. Previously, Angeline has studied with Clive Greensmith, Wei Yu, Amos Yang, and Sieun Lin. She was the winner of the Colburn Music Academy’s 2022 Concerto Competition, 2025 Camerata Artists International Competition, and 2024 Bellagrande International Music Competition, and a prizewinner of 2022 Stulberg International Music Competition and 2022 National YoungArts Competition. Angeline has also been awarded top prizes in the International Grand Prix Competition, and Pacific Musical Society Competition. She has appeared on NPR’s From the Top (Show #379 and #399). As a soloist, she has performed with various orchestras, such as the Golden Gate Symphony, Kalamazoo Junior Symphony, CNJ Orchestra, Hope College Orchestra, and the Colburn Virtuosi. An avid chamber musician, Angeline is currently a member of the Avanti Trio in the Juilliard School’s Honors Chamber Music Program. From 2017-2020, Angeline was a member of the Fervida Trio. The trio won gold medals in the Junior Division of the 2019 Fischoff National Chamber Competition, 2019 Pasadena Chamber Music Competition, and the 2018 Yehudi Menuhin Festival Galante Prize Competition. Angeline has served as principal cellist for Juilliard Orchestra and Colburn Virtuosi Orchestra. She has worked with esteemed artists, such as Itzhak Perlman, Frans Helmerson, Donald Weilerstein, Miklos Perenyi, Laurie Smukler, Merry Peckham, and Joseph Lin. Angeline’s festival appearances include the Perlman Chamber Music Workshop and Sarasota Residency, Kneisel Hall Festival, Festival Akademia Budapest, Heifetz International Music Institute, and Morningside Music Bridge Festival
