About Stephen

I'm Stephen Wu, 24 years old and came from Chongqing province in China, which is such a wonderland full of amazing landscape made up of hills ups and downs and famous as Mountain City. I'm currently a designer and mainly engaged with stuffs like paintings and modelings, I also plan to be a UX designer someday abroad too. When I'm off duty, I'd like to listen to or sing music, play basketball and travel around with my close friends. So if you are also into those fields, we can talk about our sharing interests in the classes and improving your speaking ability.
At present, I mainly master three languages.
-First of all, my mother tongue is Mandarin, and since I was born in Chongqing, I can also speak Sichuanese, it is worth mentioning that Sichuanese almost replaced Mandarin as the national language of China! At the same time, I was born in the south, went to university in the north, and have traveled to Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou, Shenzhen and other places, all of those experiences have given me a deep understanding of the customs and culture of various parts of China. Therefore, during the Chinese learning with me, you can also have a deep understanding of the cultural customs of each place.
-As for English, I start studying it since age 6 in primary school, and in my English studying path of almost 20 years, I fully participated in activities like having a monthly studying trip in the US, and taking on the designer role in a multicultural team in a competition, so I can speak fluently with you in English so as to ensure you understand completely.

About the lesson

My teaching principle is "Interesting and efficient." Accordingly, I will provide suitable and abundant material, topics to discuss, a relaxed conversation environment and enough practice for you to completely absorb the knowledge and also enjoy Chinese. In the classes, please speak up and never be afraid of asking questions, this is the best way to master a new language. For every single class, I will note down everything that you should pay attention to in your pronunciation, grammar and so on, and here comes your personal class record, which will help a lot when you review after class.
For the class content, it's totally up to your current situation. We can talk about your current Chinese level and what you want to achieve in the first class, I will prepare all materials you need before next class. Also, if you already have a textbook, our class could base on the content of that. Generally speaking, in every single class, I will take you to review what you learned in the previous classes, then start the new things to learn. Finally, to ensure that you firmly grasp every knowledge point, I will give you repeated practice through the whole process of every class.
