About Inyoni
Hi. My name is Inyoni! I'm a musician, a writer, and an international educator. I received my Bachelors in music with a minor in Japanese. I've been tutoring for 7 years, both in person and online.
I've worked with students as young as 3, and am currently teaching someone much older than I, at 38.
My main strength as a teacher is taking the time to understand my students' needs, and adjusting my approach to how I teach; whether they be visual, aural, or kinesthetic learners.

I assess my students individual needs, and come up with lesson plans that both elevate the student's difficulties, and improve on their strengths,
A typical lesson plan includes a brief review/check on previous instruction, introduction of new material, and guided practice through the rest of our time.
Being aware of the many different ways of learning, and especially understanding how they present in students who are neuro atypical, I am able to learn and adjust to my students needs and drives, and provide them with several opportunities for success.
I am conversational enough in Spanish that I received training for a job from a woman who spoke only Spanish.
I am proficient enough in my Japanese fluency that while living there, I was permitted to teach in elementary schools, where communication was 100% in Japanese.
I'm a published writer.
I've been a musician for over 30 years, currently still performing and teaching, andwriting my own songs.
