About Syed Muhammad Dilawaiz

Your next Chemistry Mentor!
For me, Chemistry isn't just a subject—it’s my absolute passion. Over the past 13 years, I’ve dedicated my life to guiding students toward their academic breakthroughs while teaching at prestigious institutions like the Beaconhouse School System and The City School. My deep expertise eventually led me to serve as the Head of Department for Chemistry at Aga Khan College and work directly on the "inside" of education as a Curriculum Designer for the Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB). This unique background gives me an unparalleled edge; I don't just know how to teach the subject, I know exactly how examiners think, how curricula are structured, and how marking schemes work.

While I cover all branches of the science, my absolute specialization is Organic Chemistry—a topic many students dread, but one that I love transforming into clear, logical, and satisfying "aha!" moments. I don't believe in rigid, robotic lecturing; I believe in mentoring with empathy, patience, and real-world context to show you that Chemistry can actually be incredibly fun. Whether you are aiming to top your class globally or just trying to survive complex mechanisms, I am here to build your confidence, unlock your potential, and help you ace your goals. Let's do this together!

About the lesson

As an experienced online Chemistry tutor specializing in global curricula—including CAIE O Level/IGCSE/A Level, Edexcel IGCSE/IAL, AQA GCSE/A Level, and local UK exam boards—I deliver highly interactive Chemistry lessons designed for students ages 14–19.
My tech-driven methodology rejects passive lecturing; instead, I bring abstract chemical concepts to life using digital simulations and real-world problem-solving, ensuring students truly grasp the underlying science. To support continuous learning, I provide premium digital handouts and full access to recorded lectures for seamless 24/7 revision.
A cornerstone of my approach is actively solving Chemistry past papers alongside my students, explicitly training them in the critical thinking methodologies and exam techniques needed to decode complex questions and score maximum marks. Typically structured into high-impact 60-minute sessions, these lessons bridge the gap between conceptual understanding and top exam grades, giving students the ultimate confidence to secure their target A*.
