About David
I studied IT with business at college and went to university to study accounting. After university I’ve had a job in various finance roles. Due to the nature of my job roles, and education, I’ve been using excel on a daily basis for the last 15 years. This has given me a complete knowledge of how the program works.
I have also had the opportunity to teach Excel to new starters in the workplace. I found it extremely rewarding seeing beginners become proficient in something I’ve taught. I would now like to offer this service in my spare time.

The best way to learn this program is through a practical approach. First I like to find out what exactly the student is wanting to get out of my lessons. Depending on the level of proficiency we will start by learning the basic principals and move through to more complex functions (if that is desired).
I believe it is extremely important to understand the the logic behind what we are learning/calculating. I will explain the purpose and reasoning behind what we are doing before we move onto doing the various practical exercises designed to teach and test.
