About Joshua

I wrote the 2019 WASSCE and obtained an A1 in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics and 770/800 in the Math section of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). I have been casually tutoring fellow secondary school students since I was in SS2, and took it much seriously during this COVID-19 break. Over the months, I have tutored 17 students, 8 of which were in terminal classes. I like to introduce multiple methods to my students, giving them the liberty of choosing (with much guidance) which they consider fastest or easiest.

About the lesson

I feel Math is fun and easy and I do my best with all patience to relay this idea to my students. If by repetition, so be it. If by using layman methods, so be it. The student's comprehension is my priority. The lessons are not just aimed at helping the student get the answers, but at assisting the student to understanding every step of the solution. I evaluate the temperament of students in our early classes, and then find the most suitable means to make the class conducive for him or her.

His ability to convey his explanations clearly surprises me. Besides he painstakingly and patiently deals with those who have gaps in their knowledge of the subject matter. His diligence is also highly commendable.
