About Roberto

I am a qualified linguist in English studies with linguistics by the University of Brighton, England. Further I also hold an official Master in English literature and linguistics by the University of Granada, Spain. I have been providing private tuition and guidance since I finished my degree studies in 2005. As part of my master in English studies, I have also taken part in two teaching practices, one as university English professor assistant for two months at the University of Granada, and a second one as English teaching assistant for one trimester at Mulhacen´s College in Granada. Throughout the years I have como to the conclusion that the best way to help someone to improve heir English, one has to expose constantly his/her students to the language, praise them to reinforce their motivation and confidence and encourage them to use it as much as they come, not only while the lesson is taking place, but to look for any opportunity they have to use what they have learnt in class. Basically, my methodology focuses on improving the skills and abilities of my students through communicative interaction between the teacher and the student, brief clarification and reinforcement of pronunciation, intonation, semantic, grammatical and vocabulary aspects. I try very hard to make my lessons very enjoyable, practical and where the student can feel at ease without feeling stressed in any way, so they can use and implement their knowledge in English without feeling embarrassed, and thus strengthening their confidence when speaking in English.

About the lesson

My methodology emphasizes reinforce skills and communication skills in English. I basically focused on creating a relaxed atmosphere where the student / to feel comfortable, and can interact in a most natural way possible. The student try to put them to use all their knowledge in English, and the progress we refine and clarify aspects of pronunciation, intonation, grammar, vocabulary, learning strategies to acquire more easily grammatical and structural vocabulary. The idea is that the student / a is losing stage fright when using English in a real situation. Initially give priority to improving oral fluency, for in later sessions perfecting pronunciation, intonation and spelling student.
