About Seth

Seth Michael has had the privilege of studying with acting legends Alan Arkin, Harold Guskin and others, shaping his unique approach to acting.

Through over 30 years of being in this industry, Seth has developed a method that fuses improvisation techniques with text work, empowering actors to find freedom, ignite their imagination, and bring their most authentic selves to every performance.

With a global student base, Seth has helped countless actors unlock their true potential and discover their unique strengths on stage and screen.

"For me, acting is about remembering how to play and use our imaginations, like when we were kids, and learning to bring that back into the work. When you work with me, over time, the layers come off, enabling you to use your whole self and full creativity in your work." - Seth Michael May

About the lesson

When we approach text work - we often struggle to connect, feel stiff or fake, and often end up thinking – we don’t have what it takes.

But I believe that every actor has innate creativity – and that traditional acting classes aren’t always the best way to bring that out.

WHAT'S THE CLASS LIKE?
1. We Strip Away Everything and Unlock Your Innate Creativity
2. We “Flex” Your Acting Muscles with Spontaneous Scene Work
3. We Reintegrate Text with a New Sense of Freedom
4. We Prepare for Monologues and Auditions with Confidence

Spontaneous Scene Study is the marriage of improv and text; designed to help you tap into your instincts, and bring life to any scene with authentic spontaneity and ease.

Seth Michael has changed my life!! He has been the greatest mentor one could ever dream of. He has changed the way I perceived acting. He taught me that acting can be a fun process, and not bound by the limitations of techniques and rules. We work on improv, scene study, monologues, film analysis and much more.
He will help you understand the text, give you different focuses to approach character and release your fear of taking risks!
Highly recommend!!
