About Alice

I am an actor, facilitator and writer who trained at The Fontainebleau School of Acting, I am also trained in Facilitation Technique, meaning I am highly skilled in how to communicate with you and push you to your best work. I have led drama classes at Fontainebleau School of Acting, ACT Drama School and Chichester Festival Theatre. I have been noticed in particular for my positive energy and clear communication skills. Many students I have taught in group settings have asked for 1:1 sessions after our programmes have ended. As an actor I recently performed in FOUL at Brighton Fringe ...a show I co-wrote and co-produced with Til Tomorrow Theatre Company. I also recently performed at Theatre Royal Brighton and Minack Theatre. I have a particular interest in Shakespeare and demystifying the text through performance. I've had the pleasure of being directed by Kirsty Bushell and Nia Lynn in Shakespeare productions.

About the lesson

Each session is tailored to the individual, we will work together to push you to your goals. I have a myriad of exercises; movement, voice and imaginative techniques, from the pencil work of objectives and actions to throwing socks in the air. I have taught total beginners and actors preparing for auditions. Whatever you are looking for just let me know!

I met Alice at drama school and then worked with her as her teaching assistant.
Not only is she a fantastic actress in her own right, she is also able to use all the tools she has learnt to get the best out of those she teaches. Alice really helps her students improve, knowing exactly which specific areas to target, all while ensuring that play remains at the heart of what they do. I have loved working with her and I'm sure that you will too.

After I had my first lessons with Alice I was really impressed, for the first time I had a tutor who notice something specific about me and helped working with that. She’s very determined and creative, I like how working with a simple monologue turns out to be a fun and interesting challenge, she’ll try different ways and exercises to make you understand and deliver your best performance.
