About Emilie
I am a current university student with a strong academic background in mathematics. I achieved Grade 8 in GCSE Mathematics and Grade 8 in AQA GCSE Further Mathematics, demonstrating a high level of mathematical understanding and exam success. Having recently completed my GCSEs, I am familiar with the current specifications, exam techniques, and common challenges students face, enabling me to provide relevant and effective support.

My teaching approach begins by identifying a student's weaker areas and ensuring they understand the methods required to solve different types of questions. We then work through these methods together step by step before practising them using a range of questions of increasing difficulty. Throughout the lesson, I provide tailored feedback and guidance to help students learn from mistakes, improve their problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in applying mathematical concepts independently.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, allowing enough time to review previous topics, learn new content, and complete practice questions. Longer sessions can be arranged if required.
I previously tutored for GCSE English Literature at my school
My lessons are designed for students studying GCSE Mathematics, typically aged 11–16. I can support students of all abilities, whether they are aiming to build confidence, improve their grades, strengthen their understanding of key topics, or work towards the highest grades in their GCSE examinations.
