About David

I’m a 24-year-old tutor with over 5 years of experience helping students improve their grades and confidence across GCSE, A-Level and university-level subjects. I’m passionate about teaching and enjoy breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand concepts. I studied Sport & Exercise Science at Loughborough University, followed by a Master’s in International Affairs at Penn State University, and I am currently completing a Master’s in Physiology and Nutrition at Loughborough University. This gives me a strong academic background across science and analytical subjects. Alongside my studies, I compete as an NCAA athlete, which has taught me discipline, consistency and how to perform under pressure—skills I bring into every session.

About the lesson

My lessons are structured, engaging and tailored to each individual student, whether they are aiming to pass, improve their grades or achieve top marks. I focus on building a strong understanding of key concepts while also developing exam technique, which is essential for success at GCSE, A-Level and university level. Each session typically lasts 60 minutes and is adapted to the student’s needs. We will work through difficult topics step-by-step, use past exam questions, and focus on how to answer questions effectively to maximise marks. I also provide guidance on revision strategies, coursework and exam preparation. I specialise in Biology, Physiology and Sport Science, but also support Maths and other related subjects. My teaching style is clear, patient and results-driven, helping students gain confidence and perform under pressure. I offer an affordable cost of £12 per hour.

David made my daughter feel comfortable whilst delivering quality tutoring sessions at a very affordable price. Im very surprised at low little he charges for the standard of his lessons. He gave good explanations and practice questions. His lessons helped my daughter in her A level Physical Education and Maths. I recommend David if you're looking for an affordable, knowledgeable and well mannered tutor.

I recommend David due to his hard work and determination that he put in during tutoring. He always comes to lessons with prepared notes and practice questions. David adapted his pace of teaching to my daughter who struggled to learn at a fast pace, so he broke things down into pieces which worked really well.
