About Pete
I am a qualified maths teacher from England with over 20 years of experience teaching Maths and Coding to students aged 10–16 across the UK, USA, Canada, and Europe. I have taught: - GCSE & iGCSE Maths (UK) - Grade 6–9 Maths, Algebra & Geometry (USA/Canada) - IB MYP Mathematics (international schools in Europe) I hold a University degree in Computer Science & Engineering and a Postgraduate Degree in Education and Teaching. Alongside teaching, I have worked professionally in coding and technology, which allows me to explain Maths in a logical, structured, and modern way. Many of my students come to me feeling anxious or lacking confidence in maths. My greatest satisfaction is helping them realise they can do Maths — and often much better than they expected.

My lessons are clear, interactive, and fully personalised. - Each session is adapted to the student’s level, pace, and curriculum, and typically includes: - Clear explanations using visuals and examples - Step-by-step problem solving - Guided practice with immediate feedback - Exam-style questions where appropriate - Confidence-building strategies and tips I focus on understanding first, not memorisation. Once students understand why something works, their results and confidence improve quickly.

I have been a colleague of Pete's for many years. He is always highly professional and helpful to all his colleagues.
Thank you so much for helping my son with his maths. He said your explanations are much better and clearer than his school teacher's. He is very happy to have you as his tutor.
