About Abed Mashal
My name is Abed Mashal. I am 17 years old and extremely passionate about Computer Science. Computers always fueled my imagination. I remember watching my father show his siblings how to create a website or teach them a programming language. My curiosity and imagination would inevitably lead me to getting hold of his computer and experimenting, sometimes downloading a virus with an application that intrigued me.
In my second year of school, I started a coding club. I recruited four people to team up with me, drafted a proposal, got a club sponsor, and presented it to the school leadership for approval. Armed with my prior experience of starting and growing a club, I started leading the club. I held countless team meetings brainstorming the structure of the meetings/classes to ensure that the format would be engaging and informative.
