About Paulina

From 2015-2017 I studied at the prestigious Chetham's School of Music with the UK’s top music instructors, giving me a huge insight into music making from an early age. There I participated in many performances as well as outreach programmes such as a short course in music therapy, which involved a placement in a Special Education Needs school. This ignited my passion for sharing music with children. In July 2021, I completed my Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with 2:1 honours. There I studied with Josef Pacewicz, an incredible saxophonist and clarinettist who shared his amazing orchestral knowledge with me, and Arno Bornkamp, who is easily recognised as one of the world’s leading saxophonists. In addition, I regularly attend masterclasses by great saxophonists such as Kyle Horch, Alain Crepin and Timothy McAllister. These give me an amazing insight into the world of music and the various saxophone schools: British, French and Dutch amongst others. I would love to share this knowledge with you! I have an ABRSM Diploma in Instrumental Teaching with Distinction and have been teaching for over 4 years now, offering tuition to young children as well as adults. I have a 100% success rate in exams, with many of my students achieving distinctions. At university, I took classes on how to teach people with Additional Support Needs. These have given me amazing skills and knowledge into how to support young children and people with various conditions and disabilities like dyslexia and autism spectrum disorders. I'm a patient and kind tutor with a lot of drive and inspiration to help you become the best musician you can be!

About the lesson

I am available to teach anyone whether they just want to start a new hobby or are aspiring musicians. I am a classically trained musician with experience playing jazz and pop standards, so I'm happy to teach any style you'd like. My lessons are inspired by my students' needs so whatever you will want I will try to include/organise. For exams, I'm happy to follow the ABRSM, Trinity College London and/or Rockschool (both classical and contemporary) syllabus.

Perfect! I have been taking saxophone lessons with Paulina for several months and I find that she is highly attentive to the student's needs and will tailor the lessons to the needs of the student to address any relevant issues that will slow down progress.

Overall, Paulina is an excellent teacher when teaching someone like myself coming from a non-musical background.

The lessons are demanding and enjoyable and a good teacher will always go a long way when reaching a musical goal.

What I find excellent about Paulina is that she will pick up on the smallest detail and is causing a block to moving forward, this has helped tremendously.

I highly recommend Paulina if you are considering taking saxophone lessons and want to be supported by an enthusiastic teacher who has the best interests of the students in mind.
