About Minghui

I was born in a rural area of Henan Province, China, and have lived in multiple rural villages and cities across the country since then. This unique experience allows me to deeply understand the lifestyles and cultural traditions of people from different backgrounds—whether it’s the folk customs in rural areas or the daily rhythms of urban residents. I can also use relatable, real-life examples to help you grasp the context behind Chinese expressions, making language learning more like an "immersive life experience" rather than just memorizing words. Beyond observing daily life, I have a strong passion for and in-depth knowledge of traditional Chinese culture. I am familiar with traditional Chinese beliefs and have a solid understanding of Kung Fu, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Buddhism, and Taoism—not just their basic concepts, but also the historical stories and practical significance behind these cultural symbols. Additionally, I have traveled to dozens of places in China, from the ancient relics of Xi’an to the mountain villages of Guizhou. This enables me to share vivid, real cultural details that you won’t find in textbooks: for example, when teaching about "solar terms," I’ll tell you how my rural hometown plants crops according to solar terms; when talking about "etiquette," I’ll compare the different customs of hospitality in urban workplaces and rural areas. I excel at breaking down the difficulties of Chinese learning in a relaxed and easy-to-understand way. I’ll connect Chinese usage to life scenarios you’re familiar with, and patiently adjust my teaching pace based on your progress to help you get rid of the anxiety of "learning a new language." To let you feel the style of my classes more intuitively, I offer a free trial lesson—you can experience the teaching mode first and decide whether to continue without any pressure. Moreover, considering that you may have a busy schedule, I provide flexible class scheduling—we can discuss and fix the class time that fits both of us, so learning Chinese won’t conflict with your work or life.

About the lesson

For beginners, we’ll start with daily scenarios you’ll actually encounter: ordering food, asking for directions, or chatting with friends. I won’t flood you with grammar rules first; instead, you’ll learn phrases by "speaking" in class, and I’ll break down the logic behind them step by step (with English support if you need it). If you’re learning for work or exams (like HSK), I’ll tailor content to your field—whether it’s business meetings, writing emails, or mastering test-taking skills. I also weave in small cultural tips (e.g., how to address colleagues politely in Chinese) so you don’t just "speak" Chinese, but use it appropriately. Most importantly, I know learning a new language can feel intimidating. My classes are relaxed—no rushing, no judgment. I’ll adjust my pace to your comfort level, and after each lesson, you’ll get a simple summary of key points + 1 short practice task to keep you on track.
