About Kate
I am a professional opera singer with a bachelor degree and Masters degree in opera performance. I am a full time soprano with Opera Australia, and I have also been teaching piano and singing to students across Sydney for 10 years. My specialty is working with children, and I am mobile, so I teach within my student's home (providing they have a piano or keyboard).

I have been teaching for over 10 years, specialising in both classical vocal technique (applied to all genres for all ages), as well as piano lessons for the younger beginner.
My lessons are fun and varied, as I believe music should be an escape, and never a chore! My approach as a teacher is to nurture my student's passion for their instrument, and to provide a creative outlet to enrich and inspire. I believe that this is the most important role for a music teacher to play!
I am offering singing lessons for all ages and genres, as well as piano lessons for beginners. Many of my current students choose to do a combination of both instruments, with a focus on learning chords with a goal to accompany themselves.
