About Irene
Educated in the British system since 2006 and lived in the UK since 2010. In 2016 I obtained my BA Hons French and Spanish with proficiency in Japanese at the University of Exeter. In 2017 I completed a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) at University College London. I have 5 years of experience as a Teacher of French and Spanish in secondary schools in the UK and China covering a variety of IGCSE, GCSE, A-level and IBDP boards. In my free time, I enjoy drawing and dancing.

Being able to empathise is something which I prioritise in my teaching as I believe that it is the key element to understand the challenges, accommodate the teaching to the students’ particular needs, provide realistic and effective support, and encourage students to reach their individual potential. I appreciate diversity and being dynamic in my lessons to motivate students and involve them in the learning. I support the idea that lessons should be student-centred and therefore they should learn by themselves along with the aid and guidance provided by the teacher.
