About Joshua
I’m TEFL certified (120 Hour Combined TEFL Course Certificate, Distinction, The TEFL Academy, UK, 2017), and I also have a Master's degree in Linguistics (Very Satisfactory Predicate, Universitas Andalas, Indonesia, 2024). Most of my experience so far has been teaching English to university students and professionals. I'm friendly, patient, and encouraging, and I can teach teen or adult learners of all levels. Currently based in the UK, I have lived and studied in Indonesia, so I know what it’s like to learn a second language to an advanced level and adapt to a different culture. My Master's degree research was on the topic of using technology in language learning, and I’ve also completed a course in Teaching English Online by Cambridge University, so I’m passionate about using technology to help people learn English in an engaging and interactive way. I’m also passionate about coaching learners to utilise their time outside the classroom effectively to help them reach their language goals and grow in confidence.
