About Jenna
I am an author, librarian, and former college faculty member who has many years of experience in family literacy, adult literacy, ESL tutoring, and college-level teaching. I am also the mom of three adult girls and I know how it can feel to fall behind in an academic subject. I come from a family that loves words and language. My father was a linguist and my mother is an editor. I look forward to working together to achieve your English language goals!

My approach begins with understanding your exact needs. For students at the elementary and middle school levels, I will work to align with your curriculum topics so that you can achieve better grades. For high school students, standardized tests and college applications become critical; I can help with personalized coaching in either area. For students of English as a Second Language or adult literacy, I will meet you at your level and help with a range of connected skills from word recognition to pronunciation. I have a deep love of teaching and learning and am focused on your success. My approach is active and dynamic, not boring and pedantic. All lessons will be done over Zoom or Google Meet.
