About Shirley
I am a fresh and eager Spanish tutor with 2 years of experience teaching students new to the language. I have successfully guided around 80 students, helping them build an early foundation in vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. My teaching philosophy is centered on warmth, simplicity, and encouragement, ensuring every student learns at a pace that feels comfortable and achievable. My teaching method for Spanish, Grammar, and Vocabulary Building focuses on giving new learners a warm, honest introduction to the language, even in the earlier part of my tutoring path.
Warmth guides every lesson, since I want beginners to feel at ease making mistakes as a normal part of the learning process rather than something to fear.
Simplicity is central to my teaching, since I break every concept into small, easy steps so beginners never feel overwhelmed while working on grammar or vocabulary.
Encouragement stays present throughout every session, since early confidence has a big impact on how much a beginner enjoys and continues with learning Spanish.
Lessons typically begin with core vocabulary and pronunciation practice, followed by basic grammar structures, gradually introducing simple conversation exercises.
For students ready to progress, I introduce light dialogue practice and cultural context to build practical communication skills.
I adjust my teaching to fit each student's personal goals, whether learning for travel, school, or general interest. My aim is a warm, simple, and encouraging space for every new Spanish learner.
