About Gaëlle

Hi!
My name is Gaëlle. I am a French History student in Wales. I offer French lessons online and in person. My goal is to make you discover France and French so that you appreciate them as much as I do.

About the lesson

- I consider that personalising lessons is the key to maintain motivation high and help the student progress quicker
- In that vein, I propose to discuss during the first hour about the student's goals, level and interests. I also evaluate the student's level thanks to a reading understanding and traduction.
- Lessons are generally structured as it follows:
> catch up: In French, talking about the week, remembering about what we did last time
> correction of the homework: before the lesson, I send an email containing a text to read and corresponding questions. I also send a Quizlet link to start learning vocabulary related to the lesson's topic
> grammar: the text studied before highlights a specific grammar point that I then explain. We then do some exercises. If needed, some more exercices will be send during the week to consolidate this specific grammar skill
> listening: I then show a video to the student, then we elaborate together a summary of the video
> At the end of the lesson, I like to casually talk a bit more, allowing the student some time to express how they felt during the lesson
- Lessons would last one hour at least, less for younger students if needed. I generally do a lesson per week but I am willing to do more if the student wishes to do so
- Born and raised in France, French is my native tong
- I can adapt to whatever level the student already has and is willing to reach, from beginners to advanced
