I met Cyrilla while travelling for a month in Eastern Europe. She is a very kind and dynamic person with a 'can-do' mindset - always keen to do the best she can to help. She also has a great ability to adapt to an audience and handle challenging situations. Besides speaking fluently English and French, she also speaks German and some Dutch and Danish and knows how tricky learning languages can be. I believe this will definitely help her understand her students and support them in overcoming difficulties.

I began the last academic year with a French course at City University. I was struggling a lot with the class. I started at level B1 as the class was aiming to finish the level B2 by the end of the year. Cyrilla offered to tutor me about once a week and helped me a lot for my projects and presentations that I needed to do for the class. She was very easy to communicate with and she was always on time and precise for our lessons together. I thought it was very good to see someone know what my problem areas were before I even needed to explain them. It was clear that she had been working with foreign students before and she got acquainted with my class material very quickly. I enjoyed my lessons with her a lot.
