About Tamara
"Supporting students through their linguistic journey requires a gentle and patient temperament. You might notice that I prioritize natural flow over rigid memorization, which is a style I have developed over my 8 years of experience.
I find that teaching 100 students has taught me exactly how to help learners navigate the nuances of travel French and business French with comfort. My background includes an Artist Diploma in Piano Performance, which helps me listen closely to the subtle liaison and nasal sounds necessary for authentic pronunciation. We will look at cultural context, idioms, and expressions that bring the language to life in real situations. Imagine sitting in a cafe in Paris and knowing exactly how to order while using the correct idioms and expressions. My 8 years of experience, combined with the discipline learned from my Eastman School of Music degree, allows me to break down complex French grammar into manageable pieces. We will work on your business French or conversational skills by practicing those tricky liaison and nasal sounds until they feel like second nature.
It is helpful to treat language like music, where rhythm and tone matter as much as the vocabulary itself. I have taught 100 students, so I am very comfortable adjusting our pace to your specific needs. This preparation will ensure you are ready to speak with authority during your next trip abroad."
