About Gabrielle
I am a French and Francophone studies graduate who specializes in history and memory. I spent six months doing Holocaust research in Paris as well as interning at the Paris Holocaust Memorial. I have also interned in South Africa at the South African Heritage Resources Agency where I analyzed historical monuments and buildings. I am particularly interested in memory, the idea of how history is remembered in the present. I also have experience and interest in colonial and post-colonial history specifically in Francophone countries and also South Africa.

I really want to make history fun and engaging. I'm more concerned with the comprehension of topics, criticism, and analysis of the past and the present than for example dates. I am fun and easy-going and want to create an unintimidating learning environment. I am very flexible and want to teach for you. I see tutoring as a partnership.
