About Trevor

I am a flute tutor who loves guiding students on their musical journey with creativity and skill. My teaching combines mentorship, accountability, and critical thinking. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while encouraging self-expression. I also include music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to strengthen overall musicianship. I also teach related subjects such as performance skills, theory, and rhythm. I create a positive and motivating environment where students feel supported. Every lesson is designed to help students become expressive, confident, and passionate musicians.

About the lesson

I also teach theory, sight-reading, and listening to build complete musicianship. Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, composing, and expressive interpretation. Mistakes are seen as part of learning and provide opportunities to grow. My teaching is flexible, adapting to each student’s pace, goals, and interests. I emphasise reflection, problem-solving, and self-evaluation. I create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity. I also teach related subjects such as theory and performance skills. My goal is to help students develop technical skill, confidence, and a lifelong love for music.
