About Polly
I am organised, driven, and I love to teach! I haven't always found academics natural which means I have learnt how to succeed and I believe this not only allows me to sympathise with my students, but it also means I am good at explaining how to complete a problem. I also understand when I might need to re-explain something in a different way to help a student gain a clearer understanding and become more confident in their comprehension. I have a year of experience planning, preparing and teaching lessons, demonstrating my organisational skills and ability to work independently, as well as 15 months experience working for a tech start-up company, interacting with users and sponsors, demonstrating my professionalism.

I believe everyone learns in different ways and so will tailor my teaching approach to each individual student. I am happy to guide the lessons or allow the student to guide topic choice based on their curriculum or topics they struggle with. I can also assign additional practice for in-between lessons. (Also happy to work through homework etc. too) - Typical lesson length: 60-90 minutes - Experience: 1 year previous experience tutoring - Qualifications: First Class Hons in Psychology from University of Sussex, International Baccalaureate (38 points overall with 6 in maths), GCSE mathematics A* - I am happy to teach any secondary school students up to (and including) GCSE level

Her dissertation was highly admired for her clear understanding and explanation of her applied statistical methods.
