About Alex
I work as an architectural assistant in London, at an award-winning firm specialising in traditional or Classical architecture. My design philosophy revolves around designing architecture which is rooted in the social, geographical and historical context. This involves undertaking comprehensive research before making design propositions. I predominantly work through hand drawing, physically responding and testing design propositions, however, I am equally strong working with software including AutoCad, Rhino, Adobe indesign, illustrator and photoshop.

With over 5 years of tutoring experience, my lessons are tailored specifically to the needs, interests and learning styles of my students. Whether it be through practical, design lessons, in architectural history and theory or structural/construction lessons.
I graduated with a first-class degree in Cambridge and having won multiple architectural awards I have a strong passion for the subject and for helping students find and develop their own style and techniques.
I can teach students applying for architecture and design-related courses at university, or students at undergraduate level. I can teach in person or online and typically take sessions for at least an hour.
