About Misha
I’m a 19-year-old FIDE Candidate Master (CM) from Ukraine with over 15 years of chess experience. I have competed in tournaments in many different countries and have gained a lot of experience playing at a high level. I also have experience coaching children through an online Ukrainian chess school, helping students improve their openings, calculation, tactics and overall understanding of the game. I currently study Digital Marketing and Management in London. I speak four languages: Ukrainian, English, Russian and Polish, which allows me to communicate comfortably with students and families from different backgrounds. I enjoy making chess lessons engaging and practical, and I always try to make sure students understand the ideas behind the moves rather than simply memorising them. With my international tournament experience and coaching background, I can help students both enjoy chess and prepare for competitions.

My coaching style is focused on helping students understand chess rather than simply memorising moves. I like to make lessons interactive and encourage students to think for themselves, ask questions and find solutions on their own.
I particularly enjoy working on calculation, tactics, openings and analysing students’ own games, as I believe this is one of the best ways to identify mistakes and make real progress. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals and playing style, whether they want to improve their tournament results, strengthen their understanding of chess or simply enjoy the game more.
My goal is to make lessons challenging but enjoyable, while giving students practical ideas they can use in their own games.
