About Jenny

I am currently working as a Senior Project Officer in Homes Victoria (a Victorian Government agency sitting within the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing). I’ve gained over 5 years of experience in policy-making and project management across four departments since graduating from BA. I am also close to completing my Juris Doctor degree.

As an Ask Alumni Mentor and then Arts Faculty Peer Mentor at the University of Melbourne, I supported many students navigate stressful uni study and develop skills critical for transitioning into highly competitive roles in public policy. Many successfully secured roles in their desired fields.

About the lesson

Mentoring: Draw the Career Roadmap
1) Map Career Pathways: learn how to transition your BA majors into roles in law or public policy
2) Public Service Insights: gain insider knowledge on how government recruitment works and work environment
3) Early-career mentoring: gain advice on selecting internships, monitoring performance and pursuing continuous learning
4) Practical techniques: practice interview techniques, learn how to develop professional skills to prepare for desired career
