About Callie
I am a committed violin tutor with 13 years of experience, having guided around 300 students across different levels, including high school students, college learners, and adults. My teaching philosophy is based on consistency, clear instruction, and continuous improvement, as I believe these are key to success in learning music.
I focus on building a strong foundation by teaching posture, bowing technique, finger positioning, and tone clarity. I also include exercises and songs that make lessons engaging and easy to follow. I guide students on how to practice effectively so they can improve outside of lessons.
One of my proud achievements is helping students perform with confidence and develop a lasting interest in violin. My aim is to create a positive and motivating learning experience.

My violin teaching methodology combines communication, flexibility, and real-world application of skills. I tailor lessons to each student’s abilities, pace, and learning style, ensuring that technical skills and expressive musicality are developed together.
I focus on posture, bowing technique, fingering, tone, intonation, phrasing, and expressive playing while fostering creativity and personal interpretation. Lessons include real-life examples such as performing favorite songs, practicing for recitals, and understanding music’s emotional storytelling.
I also teach supporting subjects such as music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic piano skills to strengthen overall musicianship. My aim is to create a supportive, motivating, and structured learning environment where students build confidence, improve steadily, and develop a lifelong passion for music.
