About Aimee
My favorite job is teaching kids and adults to express themselves through written stories. The most persuasive stories are told by those who believe in themselves and can express themselves through writing.
I can say with certainty that I am one of the best people out there to help you create an essay that is all yours, persuasive and compelling. I am an editor, writer, communicator and marketer with over two decades developing stories for A-list media like the NY Times, Money, Fortune, Business Week, PBS and many others. I was the lead speechwriter for the Director of the National Science Foundation, a ghostwriter for entreprenuerial CEOs and other senior executives, and a marketing writer for top brands. I'm kind, patient and positive about all student work.
I have worked with students who could write and helped take them to the next level, those who were terrified of writing and those who have a great ideas for stories that needed to be told. One of my clients said recently that he got into all 12 schools he applied to and believed the essay was the deal breaker.

You are trying to persuade a recruiter, or in some instances AI, that you are right for their college or university. This is your chance to show them that you are talented, motivated and a welcomed addition to their freshman class.
Tell them a story you are uncomfortable writing but shows the essence of who you are and the courage, maturity and drive you bring to a school. Marketing and honesty should drive the essay. Who are you talking too, how do you respond to pressure and conflict, what do you have to offer and convey all of that by telling an unforgettable story.
1. Your lesson will begin with talking about what a college essay can accomplish and what you have to do to be successful.
2. We'll work together to determine the most effective story you can tell.
3. You'll develop an outline of your story and the elements its needs.
4. Once you start writing I will be there to help you refine and polish your essay based on what recruiters respond too.
5. Your essay will be edited and fine-tuned to tell a compelling story.

Details
Writing your college essay is a struggle for most students because they don't know what the schools are lookig for. I do. A compelling college essay can show that a student perhaps does not have the best grades, or a long list of extracurricular activities and other things that are important to recruiters. It can show them who you are and why you could be a strong addition to their incoming class.
Our process
1. Help you decide what story you want to tell.
2. Outline what's important and what will make them read and remember it.
3. Draft the essay based on what will get their attention and make them feel like they know who you are and what you are capable of.
4. We will edit and revise as needed.
5. Create something that you will send with pride.
