About Bray
I'm Bray! I'm a popular music graduate, a music educator, a songwriter and huge music fan.
I've been teaching music for ten years now, for a variety of ages, experience levels and musical backgrounds. I've run private lessons for singing, guitar and piano in primary schools, secondary schools and music education centres, I've run countless songwriting workshops and holiday programmes, and lectured foundational songwriting at Auckland University.
I believe music should be fun and creative and that we are all inherently musical.

Hone your skills in voice, guitar, songwriting or all three!
Whether it's executing your creative vision, excelling in your upcoming exams, or reconnecting with a passion for your own personal joy and fulfilment, YOUR goals will remain at the forefront of our lessons.
We'll work together to outline the objectives you want to achieve at the pace you want to achieve them.
Lessons are 30 or 60 minutes in length.
Beginners are welcome!
Ages 10+
VOICE
- Lessons are based around your favourite songs.
- Anatomical pedagogy catered towards what you want to improve.
- Achieve the vocal quality you desire through play sounds in a relaxed and non-judgemental environment.
GUITAR
- Learn songs in your favourite genres - be it pop, rock, folk, r&b, country or jazz.
- Put together a practice schedule that is realistic for your time.
- Learn new chords, scales and right hand techniques.
SONGWRITING
- Explore the conventions of song-craft both musically and lyrically.
- Look under the hood of your favourite songs to discover what makes them work.
- Challenge yourself with songwriting prompts and expand your songwriting toolkit.
- Learn how to produce your songs with a basic home recording set-up.
