About Sergey

Hello! My name is Sergey (Сергей). I am a dedicated 4th-year PhD researcher specializing in Organic Chemistry, holding a Master’s degree with honors. With over 7 years of professional tutoring experience, I bridge the gap between complex academic research and student success.
My background is deeply rooted in practical science. As a published researcher in peer-reviewed journals, I spend my days in the laboratory performing organic synthesis and interpreting complex analytical data, such as NMR and IR spectra. This real-world expertise allows me to offer my students a level of insight that goes far beyond standard textbooks.
I pride myself on a systematic and professional approach. Having navigated the entire Russian higher education system—from a gold medal in high school to a red diploma in my Master's—I understand the pressures and challenges students face today.
My goal is to establish your legitimacy as a future professional by sharing the exact same logical frameworks and professional tools (like ChemDraw) that I use in my own doctoral work. When you study with me, you are not just hiring a tutor; you are gaining a mentor who is actively contributing to the field of chemistry. Let’s work together to achieve your highest academic goals.

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Sergey (Сергей). I am a 4th-year PhD researcher specializing in Organic Chemistry and a Master’s degree holder with honors. I don’t just teach chemistry; I share the logic of the universe through a scientific lens.
My Method: The "Chemical Detective"
I believe that chemistry is a puzzle, not a list of boring formulas. My approach focuses on understanding mechanisms and "why" things happen. I use my unique "Chemical Detective" technique where we identify functional groups as "clues" to predict chemical behavior. We use professional tools like ChemDraw to visualize structures, making the invisible visible.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Brief Review: A 5-minute recap of previous concepts to ensure a solid foundation.
The Concept: Introducing new material using real-world analogies (like "Atomic Hotels" or "LEGO-building").
Interactive Practice: Solving complex problems together on a virtual whiteboard.
Strategy Session: Building step-by-step algorithms for specific exam tasks or research goals.
The PDF Summary: You receive a professional digital summary of everything we covered.
What Sets Me Apart:
As an active researcher, I am at the forefront of modern science. Whether it’s deciphering NMR/IR spectra or planning a complex multi-step synthesis, I bring high-level academic expertise into every lesson. I translate "professor-level" complexity into "student-friendly" clarity.
Who I Teach:
University Students: Mastering Organic, Analytical, and General Chemistry, or preparing for exams/retakes.
Academic Researchers: Assistance with structuring theses, literature reviews, and data interpretation.
Advanced High Schoolers: Focused preparation for competitive entrance exams and Olympiads.
Let’s unlock your chemical potential together!
