About Indraneelan
**FIRST LESSON FREE** **FULL ONLINE SETUP WITH DISCOUNT RATES AVAILABLE** I am an experienced and highly educated but accessible tutor. I specialise in engaging with students in order to help them connect with the work as I believe the role of a tutor is to create a learning environment that is different from a dry academic room. I love the opportunities to do this that tutoring provides as I myself have a keen passion for the subjects that I teach. Being able to use that passion to generate a new outlook on the subject for my students is immensely rewarding for us both. Having successfully sat both grammar school entrance exams and Cambridge entrance tests I am aware of the pressures students can be under. I seek to alleviate these so that they can understand their topics and complete their tasks to the true extent of their ability. Outside my interest in the sciences and my training in 11+ subjects I am heavily involved in music and various other activities. Throughout my school years I was a member of various orchestras and bands and I continue to play guitar and trumpet. I have also played cricket and football but nowadays find myself spending more time on tennis, table tennis, rock climbing and circus skills. I prefer to be an active person, both physically and mentally, and I try to bring various skills and thoughts gained from my experiences to use with my students. Please get in touch if you would like to arrange a tutoring session, as my availability is subject to other commitments. Lessons can be varied depending on tutee and subject. In general I prefer to focus on using knowledge to answer questions at appropriate levels as the best way to make knowledge memorable. Using questions as prompts also familiarises students with exactly how they should be using the knowledge, and gives them a chance to link relevant knowledge together in a practical way. I also find it important to keep knowledge current, devoting a part of each lesson to going through a question or two from topics completed previously, which reduces the very common problem whereby students at revision time will be forced to learn some of their earliest topics again from scratch as the pressures of the academic year have let the knowledge learnt earlier in the year fade away to almost nothing. This can be one of the biggest sources of exam term pressure, leading to poor mental health and academic performance, at the very point that students should be peaking.

I've known Indie and his family since the beginning of secondary school. 25 years later I am myself a professional tutor, following in Indie's footsteps. He has been a full time tutor for around 15 years, and is a highly valued member of all of the most prestigious tutoring agencies. He has a fantastic ability to connect with children of all learning styles and a deep enjoyment of the minutiae of his subjects. I have sought his advice on tutoring on multiple occasions and trust his expertise implicitly.
A born pedagogue and an incredibly intelligent Cambridge graduate (from Trinity College no less!), Indy is a calm, kind tutor who will patiently lead you or your child to unlock your full potential. I commend Indy to you unreservedly.
Indraneelan is a brilliant tutor. He’s patient and great at understanding how to help his students learn with confidence. They will not only digest Maths well, but they will also have fun learning!
Indie has been a very successful tutor for my son. He is patient and thoughtful and after determining where my son needed help has carefully guided him through his 11+ preparation. Thanks very much Indie
